Now We're Getting Somewhere
Ellie Starr
(Because Ringo is my favorite)
Ellie’s sporting her spring bowl haircut right now. She always takes so long to shed her winter coat and her “bangs” make me smile. I call it her Beatles look. We’re in the process “planning stage” of fixing up a permanent dry lot and shelter in the field for her. We’re also looking for a donkey companion so her only conversation doesn’t have to be with her smelly boy goat neighbor, Jasper.
Kitchen House update
Grounding rods and wire are in the ground.
I got the chance to do some hands-on electrical stuff and use my ladder skills.
Meter base is ready for the meter.
The service parts are ready for inspection.

I do not understand the kind of brain that can do this. But I’m glad we have friends that have those brains.
CARROT CAKE!!!!
Easter is on its way! If you are local don’t miss out on the best carrot cake in Eastern Kentucky. I dare you to try and prove me wrong.
Springtime in Kentucky
Lisa demonstrates the change of seasons very well.
It won’t be long til we are complaining about the heat. Well, some of us. I’d deal with 98 degrees all day, every day.
Also, we have an interrupting turkey named Hershel, and he gets very talkative in the spring.
Next week is all about garden prep. We’ll be starting seeds, pruning blueberries and brambles, and getting the tiller and tractor in shape.
I’ll also be posting a newsletter for paid subscribers with a contest involving Lucille and Sage who are due to kid next month. We’ve got some ideas for prizes that can be shipped or picked up.
